Intended use would be my daily wearer at the office and a dressier watch for special occasions when needed. First up: Aqua Terra blue dial And the competition: Globemaster blue dial Both in stainless steel with the calibre 8900 movement. Which would you choose and why?
Aqua Terra has my vote. Unless its strictly sport or strictly dress, the Aqua Terra is more versatile IMO.
Agree with Foo2rama about dresses up better and it's a tough choice but I think I would go with AT. Plus I think the Globemaster is heavier, not sure if that would matter to you.
If it didn't have the date, I would agree. IMHO, they screwed up what could gave been a beauty by adding the date. However, it could have been worse.
Have you seen the calendar in person? It works better then pictures suggest... I’m not saying it’s great mind you... just not as bad as you would think. I just wish they would sell the green croc strap off of the no date platinum version.
I have seen it. That's what I'm basing my opinion on. My wife's cousin has the AT. Ultimately, it's the OP's decision so, frankly, our opinions don't mean shit.
Bad comparison shot between glamour angle of the AT and weird lighting of the GM by Chitownwatches But I would still go with the AT
Yes, I’m leaning toward the Globemaster. I like the tungsten carbide bezel and the pie pan dial. It also looks a lot nicer in person than in the photo. But it’s more expensive than the AT and they both have the 8900, so ... ?
Globemaster: dressier and I think more interesting with the pie-pan dial, fluted bezel and observatory medallion on the case back. Photo source: Fratello Watches
Globemaster hands down. Another member posted photos of his at different angles. That dial goes from a blackish gray to a very deep blue. It's beautiful. But honestly, you can't go wrong with the AT either. EDIT: Found it https://omegaforums.net/threads/a-shape-shifting-stunner.94242/#post-1222818
