hello! I am trying to verify authenticity of a few omega watches. I have been trying to purchase a Seamaster but am afraid to stumble into a fake. Please help! I have been reading this forum and it seems like you know best! Thank you!
This should be posted in the "Vintage Omega Watches" subforum. That being said, all of the watches you posted here are authentic. The dials may or may not have been refinished- I can't tell for sure- but everything appears to be correct. Good finds! It would be helpful if you posted links to the auctions so that we can better evaluate that watches, the value, and the seller.
There is little risk of stumbling into a FAKE Omega, but there is a question of how original you'd like it to be. A refinished/restored dial on a watch wouldn't make it fake, neither would a substituted movement (substituted with another Omega movement, naturally), but both would have serious effect on the, subjective, value. None of the above look wrong (though I'm willing to bet that the buckles on the straps are outright fakes - not a serious issue for most), so if you are comfortable with the price, go for it. Be advised that most on these boards would probably find the price unreasonably high, as these are quite common watches, readily found for sale - and few people on here care for paying a dealer a premium for polishing a watch, putting on a basic strap and taking nice photos
