Hi guys, I need some help. I went out to buy some milk and there was watch shop next to dairy. I found Antique Omega cal.564 constellation watch in good shapes. It's been overhauled by watchmaker.(Owner of this shop) I never bought a antique watch before and I have no idea of this watched birth, price etc. It's Omega Constellation Cal 564 and movement number? is 27267853. It's got date on 3 O'clark position. It's in a steel-case, I can't remeber there was any gold in dial.
Difficult to give you any feedback without knowing what it looks like - the 564 I believe was used in more than one case design and with various dials, which differ a lot in value, and then there is the question of whether or not it is original, or if it has been restored (redial, correct hands, etc...) The serial would date it to 1968 so I am guessing it is possibly one of these below? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1968-Omeg...054404995?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item417025e183Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
I look on the net and found something very similar. I'm pretty sure it looks the same. http://www.watchgallery.com.au/Watc...Caliber-564--24-Jewels-Ref-3854--Circa-1.aspx Is there any way to check whether it's fake or real?
Take a look on this website, where you will find lots of information about connies http://omega-constellation-collectors.blogspot.co.uk/ Things to look out for: Check the case and movements numbers - make sure they are a correct pairing Check the dial hasnt been refinished (tips on the link above to help you do this) Make sure the crown and hands are correct Check the movement, and see if there are signs of discolouration or to see if parts have been replaced
