    Hi there

    Can you tell about the ref for this watch, and possible worth when keeping time? I could tell by the serial it was from the 40's but I don't know much else. All help appreciated.

    How about doing some research yourself and let us know what you have found out so far?

    That's funny, because in less than 30 seconds I found this image when I Googled "Omega chronograph 1940":

    3517-z12.jpg

    After about a minute of comparison, I concluded it's the same caliber based on all the parts being the same shape in the same locations. Now, I'll give you a hint: it's on Matthew Bain's site.

    Now that you know the caliber, you can use this to find the reference. http://naligazone.com/index.php/data-watch/omega Once you know that, the value can be found on the internet.

    Lemania 15 movement (Omega 33.3) Serial puts it in early 1940s. Two pusher version.
    Seems to have unsigned bridges which is not always a good sign.
    Why shy on posting a dial side shot?
    ::popcorn::

    Edit: saw the omega logo on the bridge.

    Basically your getting a little heat as it is pretty easy to id this movement with a basic search. It is impossible to ID the watch from just the movement, as movements are used in multiple watches.

    Have you bothered to do an internet search for the movement # that was supplied? I did and the information you are looking for was right there, for the world to see.
