Hi there Can you tell about the ref for this watch, and possible worth when keeping time? I could tell by the serial it was from the 40's but I don't know much else. All help appreciated.
I dont know how to do more research than the serial i wrote and just looking at chronographs from the 40s. Have not been able to find any like it
That's funny, because in less than 30 seconds I found this image when I Googled "Omega chronograph 1940": After about a minute of comparison, I concluded it's the same caliber based on all the parts being the same shape in the same locations. Now, I'll give you a hint: it's on Matthew Bain's site. Give a man a fish, and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he eats for a lifetime. Get it?
Haha jeez nevermind . I was actully asking for the ref and possible value and the picture is def a different ref.
Now that you know the caliber, you can use this to find the reference. http://naligazone.com/index.php/data-watch/omega Once you know that, the value can be found on the internet.
Lemania 15 movement (Omega 33.3) Serial puts it in early 1940s. Two pusher version. Seems to have unsigned bridges which is not always a good sign. Why shy on posting a dial side shot? Edit: saw the omega logo on the bridge.
Basically your getting a little heat as it is pretty easy to id this movement with a basic search. It is impossible to ID the watch from just the movement, as movements are used in multiple watches.
Got the watch back. Thanks for telling a noob like me about the movement. I tried the link supply but it seems to be broken. Anyone know the reference with this frontal picture? Any and all help appreciated
Have you bothered to do an internet search for the movement # that was supplied? I did and the information you are looking for was right there, for the world to see.
3 seconds on Google and here you go with a similar dial https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/...0305/lot-1887bd34-4f61-4742-81ee-a5f500f89ebb Just to save you being burnt at the stake very shortly EDIT Now you need to do some research and find where your extra button comes from
