    This Seamaster is from a private seller. Please help me identify the watch, and whether it looks authentic. Seller lists this as a 14K gold plated Seamaster from 1961, with caliber 550 movement.

    Can he give you the reference number? Also known as the case number? That will help.

    Likely a reference LL 6287, which is a 14K gold-filled American market case.

    The case is very polished and the upper right lug appears to be bent.

    Unless it’s a bargain price I think you will find better examples with some patience

    Here is another pic of the case. I can get it for about $700, not sure if that is a good price.

    Just saw another thread about the sharpie markings inside case... thought it was funny.

    The case is in horrible condition worth half the asking price if that.
