Hi everyone, I am about to buy my first constellation. Here are some pics from seller. Help me check if this one is authentic or not? I read somewhere that this 168.005 should come with decagonal crown. Is that true? Thanks.

Welcome @svnts

The watch is genuine.
An early gold cap 168.005
lumed dial, which looks to be in good condition
However, the gold cap lugs look to be quite soft, which is a shame.

The crown is a replacement.
The crystal, although Omega, has been changed for one with a cyclops.
The movement looks to have been harshly cleaned.

What looks to be papers and hangtag would be a bonus.

So, it really depends on what you are looking for in your first Constellation.
What is the asking price?

Yes it is.

Crown is a replacement, case has been polished, but not too bad. Dial looks correct, crystal is OEM Omega, although I’m not a fan of the cyclops look.

Decent enough example for me. All comes down to price.

And what are you looking for in a Constellation?
A sharp collectors piece or simply an attractive wearable vintage watch?

I personally think that due to the condition of the case 1500 is too much for this watch.

Have a look at this thread and in particular the condition of the case and lugs on @gbesq ’ s example to see what the watch should look like. ( sharp edges, clearly defined facets)
https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-constellation-buying-advice-167-005.162747/#post-2221823

You can then decide if the watch you’re looking at is acceptable to you.

best of luck with your deliberations.

+ IMHO dial is damaged (?) stains ? between 6 and 8 . glass is original.

I suspect the marks are on the crystal as they pass over the retaining ring too.
Cyclops crystals for Constellations may have been available by special order and the watch may have originally been ordered with a cyclops but not this specific crystal as it is a newer replacement.
( you can tell by the shape of the Omega symbol)
