I know I am not the first to post something like this, and my intention is not to waste anyone's time. Simply need help from more experienced folks in evaluating a vintage Omega purchase.

I am keenly interested in cal 564 Omega watches (either the Constellation or Seamaster), and really enjoy the "C-shape" Constellation cases. Looking at the following listing on ebay, I was hoping folks on these forums could assist in letting me know whether the watch listed is a fair value:

OMEGA Constellation 168.017 Chronometer Date cal.564 Automatic Men's _664263 | eBay

I am including some of the more relevant photos from the listing below for ease of reference. The movement, case, and dial seem relatively well taken care of given the asking price. The seller claims the measure time is +3 sec/day, which gives me some additional assurance.

Appreciate any thoughts on this listing, insight into purchasing watches in this scope, and general words of warning/wisdom. Thanks in advance.

Like it a lot. I've bought four or five vintage Omegas from this this vendor, all as advertised and promptly/safely delivered. Having said that: read our c-case thread here before pulling the trigger. You'll learn a few things, see some variants to make sure this is the one you want, and -- like buses -- there'll always be another one around the corner.

Thank you so much for the feedback @Boojumhunter "The C-Cased Constellation Thread" is just the thing I should have been looking for; appreciate the recommendation.
