Tell us what you think about it? what do your own enquiries tell you?

Do you already own it? Is it an heirloom? Are these your own photos?

Were you planning on buying it - and, if so, at what price?

Ya I really like it and was thinking of buying it for about $450. I can't find another one online that looks like it and has all the same characteristics. From my research I feel like maybe it is a Seamaster 136.011? Thanks!

Yes, it's likely a 136.011, there were many dial variations.

I may be wrong, but I can’t recall seeing a 136.011 (which I agree this looks like) with a coat hanger S Seamaster.

It puzzled me too. The coat hanger script was, I always thought, a mid/late fifties style and used on earlier Seamasters.

This watch has what look to me to be later hands and a later caseback hippocampus (etched but not in the traditional relief) and, in the angled photo, the crown looks 'deeper' than I’d have expected.

I’m not an expert in Seamasters but there are too many anomalies (including the cross hair) for me.

Ya it’s a weird one. I feel like it has enough characteristics to show it’s a real Omega but there are a lot of them I don’t see together anywhere else. Could it be modified or something?

… or redialled?

I’m inclined to think it’s had a dial swapped in from an earlier reference.

thanks. Really helpul. Based on that what do you think is a fair market value for this watch if it is a redial?

If your research suggests that it's not an honest watch, I'd suggest just moving on from it. There's no good way to put a value on it, IMO.

These references are common and good examples can be found pretty inexpensively. Why buy a watch with questions that will always be hard to sell.

Agreed on this.
Dial looks original to me.

Well an original seamaster 600 can be found for around £350-450 without much trouble.
I don’t think it’s been redialed. I think the dial has been swapped, so genuine but incorrect for this watch. So value maybe £250-300 but as @Dan S says, I wouldn’t buy it at all. Why would you? Just keep an eye out for one with the correct dial
