    Hi All,

I have a f300 cone and it came with the attached bracelet. I want to add a link but I'm having no luck finding one. in an effort to narrowing the search I'm hoping someone can assist in helping identifying the bracelet or suggesting some search terms I could use.

    thanks

    Hi all

here is a picture of the watch it that helps. I have it on a 17mm Hirsch leather strap at the moment, but my preference would be for the bracelet. there are no markings on the links or the end links. while I have seen pics of other f300s with the same bracelet, I have never seen the bracelet or links by themselves. 17mm bracelets seem to be few and far between.

    Thanks again

    Welcome,

Your Omega could be 35 to 40 years old. If the bracelet is original to the watch, you might have difficulty finding a link. In the interim, you might want to check out "buckle extenders" such as in this link.

    thanks for the replies guys.

searching for the part is half the fun - but was not aware of those clasp extenders, they could be a perfect stop gap.

I estimate the watch to be early 70s - so yeah its not going to be easy to find it. However I thought it unusual that there were no makings/numbers on the bracelet.

I'm aware of ofrei - but not knowing the part number its a daunting task going through their inventory, I tried to figure out the correct crystal for a 14713 case (with Cal 268) that I have on there and was bamboozled by the depth of info.

    the search goes on :)

    Thanks again

To complicate matters, a lot of Swiss watch companies contracted with North American bracelet makers to produce bracelets that Swiss made buckles would fit. Shipping buckles with watches not fitted with bracelets was cheaper than shipping a wearable watch. The North American agent would fit the Swiss buckle to the domestic bracelet, then fit the bracelet to the watch. Saved tariffs. Your bracelet could be a domestic one.

Roger that Red'. That's how I found the site; looking for an old Gruen crystal. (yoiks!)

Actually I had thought a bracelet design had a common name one could follow, even with what Canuck spoke of.
All said, I best get me a good mm caliper thangy. ie; 31.4mm ~ eep!

wow - thanks for the extra effort - I'm now a signed up member, just awaiting authorization. The last post of the thread was only a couple of days ago so I may head over there and ask the question.

However a soon as I find my ruler and measure the clasp I'm going to order a clasp extender as suggested by Canuck above. I put the bracelet back on the cone today, and I much prefer it with it - so I have decided its must do now.

here it is back on the bracelet, and some other junk that was lying on my desk (Ive been playing with toolwatch.io today, hence the watches lying about)

    Nice.
Yesterday I pondered of a 4-5k purchase for the heck of it on my wrist ~ Then came to me of 1-1.2k chainsaw I want and got flak of.
lol, looking for the bracelet link I even tried query International Harvester style link. Too funny.
But same as you, maybe Wookie doesn't know what he has ~ tips me hat.

    @kpaxsg - that's a pretty nice bracelet - is it solid SS?

@ahartfi -thanks for the suggestion - the bracelet is very similar but not identical.

as for mine, I got the bracelet extender. It required some minor modification with the help of a dremel (will now require a slight polish) - but its secure and fitting my wrist well. I'll continue my search, but now the f300 is back in the rotation humming away.

thanks all for input and suggestions.
