Hi all. Ive come across this vintage seamaster up for sale im wondering if you guys are able to help identify it. Im guessing it’s possibly a 165.002 but not entirely sure.

Also, does it look in good order and original or is there anything off? Has the dial been repainted or does it look normal (by looking at the dial and the writing on it)?

I have asked for further movement pictures etc but the seller is not confident in opening the case back (I know can be a risk without seeing the movement). Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Dial would appear to be refinished, which isn't all that common for this reference, best to keep looking. It does appear to be a 165.002 but not one I'd buy.

The pictures aren’t great but it does look like it’s been redialed.

Thank you guys. Thats what was sort of my thinking too, there was something not setting too right about the writing/font of ‘Omega’ and ‘Seamster’.
