I bought this watch from a friend who found it among the belongings of a relative who passed. I am sure I paid way too much for it but I love the look of this watch.
I can't find much about it and I am thirsty for information. Anything you guys might know will be helpful. Also...any suggestions on where to send it for restoration?

I collect Longines and Alpina and my guy said he would love to work on this watch but has never done a Omega. He is not a pro, just another collector with all the tools and some knowledge.
    Any help would be appreciated

I think, looking at the dial, that is known as the big blue, although in your case it is a big brown/gold.The model number is 176.004, if it is a big blue of course. They are quite a sort after model and even yours, with its tan, would be an attractive watch to many collectors. If you say where you are in the world, someone will be able to point you in the direction of a watchmaker.

If you are in Vancouver/Canada, then you could try Archer. He is a member of this forum and comes highly recommended by anyone who has had their watch serviced by him. I expect he is very busy but if you don't ask, you don't get.

The back only has the Omega logo, no serial numbers visible
