    Hi all,

I recently joined the forum after restoring my dad's PloProf.
He was the original owner (got it as a wedding gift from my grandfather), used it during his army service so it had actual underwater operational use, hence the dents scratches and water damage, but at some point it stopped working, that's when he left it in a drawer for some years.
I recently got it from him (read the full story here- https://omegaforums.net/threads/new-member-old-watch.87128/), I serviced it and planning on wearing it as a daily.

I'm trying to figure out the configuration on it, I think it's a D4 dial and a B1 bezel (as it appears on this articel- https://www.fratellowatches.com/omega-seamaster-ploprof-truth/ but I'm not sure, also I am curious to know what configurations came out from the factory to try and understand if any parts changed over the years (my dad can't remember if anything was replaced).

Here are some photos of the watch before and after the service-

And on my wrist after it was back to life-

Also, I wanted to get an Omega NATO for it but saw they don't make it in 24mm which would be the right size for this watch, I understand that fitting a 22mm on it is a risk because the spring bars can pop out...

Not sure what it makes me but I want to put an Omega strap on it, any idea where I can find a selection of omega straps that will fit this watch?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Check out this thread. While there is no info on a NATO, there is a huge amount of info about these watches.

    Your Dad's watch looks amazing.

Here is mine on a rubber strap.

Hi. Your watch looks great, cool patina and a great story behind it! Yours looks exactly like mine: case, bezel, dial, hands, button, date wheel, fully original. Both show the dial degradation, yours has been just more in really active use.

So I don’t believe any crucial parts have been changed or replaced on your watch.

Here’s some shots of mine to compare as well as a old advertisment from Omega with the same configuration.

Do you have the serial number of the movement for your watch?

    Check also this site: https://www.omegaploprof.com/

Yeah, they do look identical (apart from the wear on mine), thanks for sharing the photos!
My dad did mention that the original band on it was an orange isofrane exactly like the one in the ad, he later got the shark mesh to replace it.

I don't have the serial number of the movement, will ask for it next time it's in for service (whenever it'll need one).

Check the clasp on your watch, does it say 59 or 37. The number is inside a circle. The 59 is for an service bracelet that has a more “chrome” finish to it. Mine was also most likely delivered with an Isofrane bracelet as my mesh is the later service model.

Mine is a 37, unfortunately the buckle drops down when closed and faced down, I’m afraid it could unhook and drop from my wrist...
