    Hi

Hope you can help. I have inherited a seamaster and would like anyone's help in identifying the year, type and potential value?

We don't ask people to do that, and you've just caused this guy to contact me asking for info on how to make payment, please don't confuse new members like that as I actually thought it was a fraud attempt when this bloke contacted me.

For the benefit of the OP, the watch is from the mid to late 1960s, with a calibre 565 movement. This was a good quality movement but the bad news is that the dial has been clumsily repainted, the second hand is wrong for the watch, the case has been polished and the crown has been replaced. The watch wasn't that rare in the first place and - just my opinion - isn't worth bothering to get serviced or restored unless it has great sentimental value. If it were mine I would stick it on ebay starting at 0.99 and consider whatever it fetches as buckshee petty cash.
