    Hello,

I recently found an Omega Seamaster stuffed away in a family dresser. My family believes it was my grandfather's watch. To my fortune, the watch became mine as I am the only one who wears a watch in my family. Can you help me further identify the watch? Can you potentially narrow down the model, year it was made, value (strictly out of curiosity as I'm most certainly not parting with it), etc. Thanks for all your help!

I'm throughly enjoying the look and beauty of the watch as all I had before was the Luminox 3082.

Nice Seamaster! Information about the watch may be gained from the reference number. Unscrew the caseback and post a picture of the number printed on the inside of the caseback or look it up on the Vintage Omega database on Omega's website.

Based on the photos it certainly looks legit and in reasonable condition.

But. STOP WEARING IT. It needs to be serviced by a watchmaker before you use it. You could do damage to the internals if you wear it now.

Really...stop wearing it? I wasn't aware of that. I'll take it in for servicing and cleaning tomorrow. Also, I'll ask for the number on the caseback (thanks Giff2577 and Canaberra).
