    Dear all,

I have been eyeing this little 36mm Seamaster online for a little while and is leaning towards pulling the trigger either on this piece or on the Bond SMP. I would love to know more about this piece but unfortunately I have been unable to find the reference no. for this watch. Does any of the learned Omega fans here know the reference no. for this piece?

    Your help is much appreciated!

Jap market SM120m? There were a few unusual ones sold out there.

Not particularly old. Late 90’s maybe. I see a modern lug serial number and tritium lume.

Made from 1994 through 2003. Seamaster 120 came in 3 sizes. Ladies at 26mm men’s at 36mm and a bigger one that was digital at 38.

The usual reference number for those 36mm Seamaster 120s is 2501.xx (xx = code for dial color, for instance blue = 81 as shown).

That should give you a place to start searching for the grey dialed version you like.

Thanks guys! Yes, both are great pieces but ultimately I think I am leaning towards the Bond SMP haha
Will update with a post of my new acquisition (my first ever Omega) in due course :)

My advice would be to try before you buy with the SMP if you are considering the 36mm. The thick bezel means there is relatively little dial area on the 36mm meaning it has stubby hands. The 41mm looks a lot more balanced. I had both and didn't regret the move up to 41mm at all.
