·Hi! I'm new to this forum, and hoping someone can help me identify a vintage Omega that I was bequeathed from my late father (and it was his father's watch). I think it's from the late 1930s or early 1940s, and it would have been received or gifted in South Africa. The information I have so far is that it's a 23.4 caliber, case reference #9753010, serial #9006610, silver face. Here's a photo.
One clue might be that it could be a "Medicus", as my late grandfather was a doctor. However, I haven't been able to find a square version of that watch that looks like this.
I'd love it if someone could do me a solid and identify this for me - it would add a lot of meaning to an already special watch.
