Hi all, We recently lost a relative and whilst clearing through the possessions we inherited we stumbled upon a watch. I'll be the first to admit that I know little to nothing about high quality wrist wear but my research/attempts to indentify it has led me here. Anyway, onto the watch. It's an Omega Seamaster. No visible identifiers in the form of serial number on back plate or even a model name on the face. The only numbering appear to be on the bracelet (1502). Does any body know what version this is? It's age? Even if it's a legitimate Omega or not? Rough valuation? Like I said I know very little about high quality watches (I've had a pulsar for about 10 years) and I don't want to wear anything with any value on a daily basis. Thanks for any help.
It's real and it's a good one. Can't recall the ref no of this model but it is one of the more collectable case styles. Appears to be all original and whilst not mint, still in quite good condition.
The numbers you need are inside the caseback but at a rough guess it looks like a mid-late 1960s 552 movement piece like the 165.009 or 165.010 or similar.
Agree with the above comments. It's possible that the bezel has cracked (just above 11:30) but it's not a disaster. Have a read of this to help identify your watch.
Looks like a nice fat case on this one, and I agree it looks like a 165.009. The beads of rice bracelet looks clean ans original too!
You called it. My tool to remove the back arrived today. 14700 on the inside on the caseback. 552 movement 24 Jewels There's one more number, 18815918. What does that one represent?
