    Hello all,

I have recently come across an Omega Constellation belonging to my late grandfather and I am simply looking for any available information on this model, or a point in the right direction. I thought that this community may be of assistance!

    Best,
    Matthew

The best answer is to take it to a watchmaker and have the caseback removed. Omega stamps the reference number inside. Take a clear, preferably high resolution photo of that and all the numbers on the movement. Post the photos here and you'll get more info than you ever wanted.

Alright, took a couple days but here is some more info - This was forwarded to me from the service centre, so unfortunately I do not have any additional photos.

    Caliber: 1001
    Case Reference: 168044
    Serial# 18668

If there is any information regarding this watch that some of you might have I would really appreciate it! Would love to learn more about it.

    Best,
    Matthew

I am not familiar with this reference but from a quick Google your watch seems to date to 1970 and is 22k gold plated. The watch is called a Tonneau due to its shape, means barrel shaped in French apparently. If you search up Omega cal 1001 you should be able to find plenty info on the movement. Not a popular collectors model but still interesting none the less.
