Help identifying 1950s ladies watch

This watch was given to my grandmother in the 1950s, bought in Germany likely around 1955. I'm guessing I'd need to have the back opened but until I find a watchmaker to do this, I'm wondering if anyone might be able to give/guess info about it? Second photo is a Canadian dime, similar size to a US dime.

The serial number suggests production circa 1953, so 1955 is certainly a plausible purchase time-frame.

Thanks - where did you find the serial number information? I was looking online but didn't find anything that made sense.

Haha, no, what I meant was is there a website to check the serial number against?

That's a pretty good chart for movement serials, IMO.

That one is "official" and also has rough case serial number info. But it has some typos.
