Hey Guys, sorry for bothering you with this Universal Geneve, I just inherited of. After some feeble tries to identify it on my own, I now need your help. My grandfather wore this watch from the moment I first saw him onwards. Manual winding, with a chronograph, I suspect it to be a Uni-Compax. What do you think? What time would you attribute it to? Which model? Do you have any indices, that could help me? Cheers in advance!
Hi Oamateur -- welcome to the forum. If I'm reading the caseback numbers right -- 22431 -- it looks like a Compur, and the serial number would place it at about 1945/6. It has been redialled at some point, but still a nice heirloom. Have a watchmaker service the movement and polish the crystal, and wear it in good health. best regards, Tim
