This belonged to my great grandfather and I'd love to know about the brand, I couldn't find any results when googling it.

The chain is made by H&H and is stamped 1929, though I don't know if the chain was added to the watch at a later time.

Illinois, 18-size model 6. Railroad grade. The above from the pocketwatchdatabasebase site for that serial number. It is rare to find these “private label” watches with both the dial and movement engraved with the private label name.

As standards for railroad watches evolved, private label watches (such as the subject watch) were forbidden for entry level service. The watch had to have the name of the actual manufacturer on dial and movement. The subject watch came along before the standard changed.

Marks on the chain tell us nothing.
