Hi everyone, Can anyone help identify the movement on this beautiful old chrono? It belongs to a friend of mine. Thanks for lending your expertise. Best regards S
Since this movement was used by the Rose Watch Co., I wonder if this watch is an early Heuer. The Rose Watch Co. was merged with Ed. Heuer & Cie from 1912-1922. Early Heuer wrist chronos were not marked Heuer. http://stopwatches.forum24.se/stopwatches-about1459.html https://www.calibre11.com/history-of-heuer-i-foundation-1920s/
I started a thread a while back as I have one too. I have seen a number of them since then, as well as early adverts showing them. Still no definitive info regarding the movement manufacturer. Here is the link: https://omegaforums.net/threads/early-heuer-chronograph-wristwatch.29668/
Thank you gentiemen, this is super interesting and helpful. IG is the gym but a few interesting pics and contacts... eg James Dowling supplied pics for the watch below, also pointing out (via pm) it’s not known whether Heuer made the movement.
