I'm still learning but I'll chime in. The case looks too worn for the dial and hands to be in such unbelievable condition. This makes me think it was repainted. If it was repainted it was done flawlessly. I would guess this is a replacement dial similar to the ones available for the WWWs. Wait for other opinions.
Do you know the reference number. With that you can hopefully find pictures that will allow a comparison. The things to look at things like the font and spacing of the minute markers are they thicker or thinner than your dial? Are the hands correct? It takes a lot of time to get a feel for these things because the it could be small details that will give you your answer.
IF you Google images of this reference no other image shows a dial without signs of ageing. The fonts apear to be thinner on your watch as does the thickness of the numbers. It is hard to say from just one image but based on the difference between the two images and those found on Google it looks like yours is more likely to be a redial than a pristine example of a 1940s watch.
Thanks cicindela...how much does it worth ( for this condition) ,would you mind give the range of price... Thanks
I dunno. Looks original to me. I thought that some of these cases were (at least partially) aluminum alloy. https://omegaforums.net/threads/what-vintage-omega-is-this.9324/ That isn't going to age well and might have needed some repair at one time. I would recommend that you also post at the Military Watch Forum and get their opinion: http://www.mwrforum.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?2-Main-Forum Let us know if you get any better information on your watch over there. gatorcpa
