Help finding this seamaster reference number

Hello everyone, I found this vintage omega seamaster listed for sale for about 200 Usd at FM (price shouldn’t be a source for concern since vintage watches here in Chile tend to be a lot cheaper). I’m tempted to buy the watch, but I’m not quite sure what’s the Ref number, so far I’m inclined to think it’s a 2828, but I’ve done a lot of research and I’m still not quite sure. Im also wondering if it’s in all original condition or if it’s had a redial, because it does look a bit, well, underwhelming in the dial print quality. The seller hasn’t been able to open the watch, so I’ve got no movement pictures until I go and see it in person. I’d like to know if you think it’s a watch worth buying or should I steer clear from this one. Thank you very much for your help!!

Agreed on 2828. Need better photos of the dial to confirm originality, though. If redialed, I wouldn’t pay $200 myself.

I think there’s a high chance that dial is original with a lot of the issues on the crystal.
Worth looking in person imo

Maybe you already know this, but 2828 has a 32mm case. I just wanted to point that out in case you find that too small on your wrist.

I'm not an expert, but I also agree that this might be a 2828 based on the crown to case ratio in the photos. I have a 2846 which has a similar looking case, but has a 34mm diameter.

Reference number is not important. Just find out the size and get good sharp photos. If it's stainless, a good size, and with an original clean dial, just buy it and figure out the reference number later. Even with the soft case, that would be a good price if you like the watch.
