Help finding a Bezel for a 167.005 Calibre 551 vintage Constellation

This watch (Constellation, 2nd from the left, on metal bracelet next to SeamasterPro) belonged to my late father, and is missing the 14k bezel. I really would like to restore it, and thought about sending it to Omega, but figured it was unlikely that they had 60 year old bezels sitting around.

If I can't find the part, I've been told my next best option is to purchase the less desirable dome-dialed 167.005 gold cap, and swap the bezel, and keep or sell what's left for parts.

Any help or ideas would be very appreciated. I have a few Omega pieces, and might even consider a trade under the right circumstances.

Only steel bezel is available for this case currently. You could try to find a donor watch, but you could also get a bezel made, which may be a lot cheaper.

Thanks, I would gladly do that; anybody you'd recommend for the work?

Or gold-cap 168.005, 14902 & 14900 should all be same bezel.

How about buying the steel bezel and having it plated to match the case color?

That's brilliant too; although I'd prefer to do a really first rate restoration . . . that being said, they would look identical, and I'd never sell this.

No idea where in the world you are located - suspecting the US though, so here:

https://www.watchcaserepair.com/

I've used them before for case repairs and bezel fabrication - they do good work but communication is sparse to say the least. Also if you don't want the case on your watch polished, make sure to tell them that or it will get polished without you asking...trust me I found that out the hard way.

Cheers, Al

If they are available from Omega as @Archer writes, any watchmaker with an Omega parts account could order one for you.
