Hello, I bought an original legit DON bezel for my 105.012-65, took it to watch expert and it fits loose, it spins on the watch case.
    Seller assured bezel is legit.

Have this situation happened to someone, how did you solve it?

This is odd. The DON should fit as well as the DNN before. The DON you bought looks legit and doesn't seem to be fake.

Are you able to measure the inner diameter of your purchase?

This can happen due to wear and tear to the bezel and or the watch. A knowledgeable watchmaker may have the correct equipment and experience to make the necessary adjustments.

I have a similar problem with my 105.012-66CB. When I got the watch it did not have a bezel. I have a newer service bezel which I installed and it was loose also. To loose. It came off the first time I wore the watch. I purchased a DON bezel and it fit much tighter but still not tight enough to feel secure about it. It is very distracting worrying about a $2000 bezel popping off. I did put a couple of very small drops of Gorilla glue on the bezel as insurance. I would not recommend this as a permanent solution.
Currently I have a decimeter bezel on the watch. I like the looks and if it pops off I am only out a few hundred not a couple of thousand. I did apply a few very small spots of Gorilla glue and it seems to be pretty solid.

It's not "odd", not at all. Just don't jugde it when you don't have a clue.

Yes. But it's strange that the DNN bezel fits and the DON does not. So I would think that maybe there's a problem with the DON bezel the OP bought and it's unlikely the case of the watch has been polished down.

If you have a lose bezel turn it over and tap around inner edge with a small jewelers hammer, don't hit it too hard and make sure the surface you use is smooth and not easily damaged. ( I use wood) Keep trying the bezel until it snaps on correctly.

Rolex makes a tool called the 1006, or should I say MADE a tool. The same tool has be reproduced by a company called Fercal. The tool is designed to compress or expand bezels and retaining rings. I have one and I could not imagine living without it. See attached picture of the rolex version and the video to see how it works. In any event, this is the tool your watchmaker needs to have to slightly compress the DON to get it to snap on tight.

the dnn bezel fits well because it’s non original. look at the picture. the don bezel looks ok to me. what about acrylic crystal? I can’t see black inner ring. does it original to the watch ref? does it fit well? or it also was glued due to the loos fits?

Not true - I have had several bezels that are too tight or loose which are easily adjusted by an experienced watchmaker.

I used to naively think I could just pop one bezel off and put another on, but in real life it only works about 50 % of the time.

So from experience, I can say that bezels and cases each have small, very small variations in size, and I do not believe there is any nefarious reasons for this variation.

I have not yet had a bezel case combination that a watchmaker was unable to fit together, (that I had not).

If you are doing this at home, then if you do not hear that magic "click" as it seats, be afraid.

I must say since returning to the first world, and access to a watchmaker, I have not changed a bezel myself.

eBay won't let sellers list expensive items until they've sold 100+? Never heard that before.

Not sure I understand..... I’m not trying to sell it on this site. Just wondering if anyone knows of better routes to sell something like this, or ways around the eBay policy. They used to have an eBay consignment service, but it closed down a couple years ago. Or should I cross my fingers and have the watch service folks just force it on?

Thank you for your advice.

Seems I was just lucky that I never had a bezel problem with a Speedy Pro watch.

Now I wonder how does the experienced watchmaker adjust the measurements?
