Hi all, thanks for the great forum and information.

I have a ~1975 Omega Geneve inherited from my grandfather. This is not my photo, but it looks identical to the watch below; though - interestingly - it does not have the 'Geneve' label on the face. The watch is in great shape, keeps good time, and has a new hesalite crystal from when I first took ownership of it. Unfortunately, while the minute hand does not swing completely free or appear 'loose', it will swing if the watch case is tapped on its side. Can anyone recognize what problem this might be tied to, and perhaps recommend a fair ballpark price and/or a shop that could take care of it?

    Many thanks,
    Thomas

Take it to a local watchmaker and ask him to fix it; we don't know where you live. If tightening the hand is the only thing needed, it should not be expensive. Consider having the watch serviced if you are going to use it regularly.
