    Hi all,

I am looking to order a deployant clasp for a new speedy pro from an AD and just wanted to make 100% sure what the product number is?

This would be for the standard 18mm clasp that comes as standard to fit the croc straps.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I'll post pictures of two, one I bought on ebay and one from an Omega Boutique. The one on the left is from an Omega Boutique, the one on the right is from ebay. I thought I'd save myself $200, but I should have listened to "you get what you pay for." Even if branding and product numbers are correct beware!

This is for a polished 18mm omega deployant. Product number is 94521813.

After wearing and closer inspection this is why the Omega OEM one is of higher quality. If i were to pick it (fake one) up and shake it horizontally it will jiggle and make noise. Where as the true Omega one is solid.

another red flag is that on the fake one the Omega marking comes off with the tape : IMG_20170312_133724.jpg

therese wear to consider too STEEL QUALITY will affect longevity also and this is a gripe i have with BOTH omega & the replica the Ω is freaking glued on even the omegas will come off with a bash but i bet its easier to remove the Ω on the fake

Great post, thanks for going to the trouble to make a write up!!

personally I would rather have a non branded cheapo if I couldn't afford the OEM one. I think if I spotted a fake clasp I would look at the watch with raised eye brows also...

    Thanks again

My first deployant came to me in a bundle included with a Speedmaster, which had its original bracelet together with a couple of aftermarket straps. At that point I was unaware of the cost of the OEM deployant and didn't think too much about it. Some time later I bought a new one from my local Omega AD and began to wonder about the first one. There were small variations, as outlined above, although mine was as tight as the genuine article - no looseness or rattle. However, I realised that the first was probably a fake, even though it carried the same part number and was a very close copy.
After only three or four weeks of wearing my genuine one I felt it snag on my cuff and found that the symbol has obviously snagged on something and had bent upwards on one side. I returned it to the AD and it has been sent back to Omega. Approximately 8 weeks later and I've had no response, so the fake is being used again. However, on mine the symbol is part of the solid casting and is not a separate part glued on and this appears to be the case in alohatime's example.

Just picked up what I'm 95% certain is a legit combo. No rattle and the omega logo doesn't come off on the tape :)

Plus the thickness at the swivel end (which seems to be the most obvious visual difference above) looks good to me.

    Thanks for the walkthrough.

    Looks OK to me.
I have only ever had one genuine, bought from the AD by me, and one which is different, probably a fake. The dodgy one has the logo as part of the casting, while the genuine clasp has a logo that is a separate piece 'stuck' on. Consequently the edges of the logo are more sharply defined, but it can be knocked off too easily. In my case it got bent up on one side.

    Thanks mate.

I'm pretty happy with it - but it never hurts to hear some reassurance.

    Hi
I'm looking for a clasp for my Speedy, SM300 and AT so thought I would check the pre-owned market before going through an AD.

I've used the photos posted above as a reference point and I'm still not 100% sure about the two clasps I found in the links below, both being sold by the same seller.

Would appreciate anyone's thoughts on if these are genuine or not:

realised I should of added photos rather than links:
