Hi everyone, hope you all a nice week.

I plan to buy a vintage omega constellation 18k gold, i doubt that the dial is refinished but I have no experience to confirm that because I'm not a dealer.

I'm very happy if anyone could help me. Many thanks in advance.

Thank you all very much. I forget the refinished dial watch watch, and I'm looking at another one for 800 euros. It has authentic omega strap and 18k buckle, but the dial is ugly a little bit.

What do you think it's worth collecting? Thanks.

Hi there. I'll wait for the real experts to get here but I'll give you my first impression for what it's worth. First, you'll need higher resolution pics, those aren't that clear. To me it looks a bit suspect. The Swiss Made isn't centered and the Constellation script looks a bit off. Star is a tad crooked. Like I said, however, others will be along with a more learned analysis than mine. Good luck!

Clear redial and the case is overpolished. Buckle looks off too.

    Many thanks all,

I think I will forget it and look for another one.

The other choice is a little bit uglier, but maybe original for 800 euros.

Well... What do you think about it yourself? What stands out? Anything that is particularly attractive to you, anything that looks off?

    Because experience.

Spend some time researching and you won't have to ask as many questions, but make decisions on much better grounds.

In addition, the pillow which the Constellation comes with look awful. These boxes normally have a tray where you can place the watch, but these are often lost. Here it has been replaced by a... Well, a mole may have died in the box.

It should look something like this:

EDIT: I should add, for all it's shortcomings, the last one could be a decent specimen. I would need a proper crown and a clean-up of the dial (risky!), but it could be ok. EUR 800 is rather spicy, though.

Take a look at a new Omega strap and it's obvious.

Here's a picture of a gold plated 1950's Omega buckle:

If it doesn't have these markings, it's not correct for that watch.

The box is a nice one, but it missing the original tray with the watch holder thingy.
