I bought this recently on ebay, and got a confirmation from local jewelry watch master that it's authentic Omega (gold-filled, but the cover is just glass), but reading how close-to-real the fake watches are these days, I'm still skeptical. I believe ebay buyer guarantee allows me to return it if it's fake, so I'd like to know:
    1) whether it's authentic Omega De Ville watch
    2) any defects?

This is the description it came with:
Old vintage late 1960's AS IS Omega DeVille automatic winding with date. Omega Caliber 565 Twenty-Four Jewel automatic winding with date. Movement serial number 26955021. Yellow gold filled (Plaque) Omega signed case. Case diameter 34 millimeters. Gold plated generic bracelet. Standard lug width is 18 millimeters. The bracelet can be easily removed and a standard installed. This watch has been sitting in a vault for many years. It seems to be running great and the date changes. If this watch is to be worn on a regular basis I would suggest that it be serviced.

Attached are the photos that was on the auction page. I already have the watch in my possession, but ready to return if it's fake.

Looks like the rotor is rubbing the case back pretty severely.

    +1

Get it serviced before you wear it regularly.

And I'd take that bracelet off (it's the wrong size) and fit a nice leather strap.

Thanks for the replies! I'm assured knowing that more experienced Omega enthusiasts confirmed its authenticity. Keep them coming if you have any more input! Thank you. :)

Does the T Swiss Made T indicate a redial?

No, as there appears to be lume spots (albeit small) under each marker and lume in the hands as well.

Yeah! That's the plan. :) Any suggestions on good short 18mm black leather strap? Preferably lizard or snake grained, but doesn't have to be. I bought one on Amazon and it didn't look good... I'm a female with really small wrist, so it's hard to find a small black leather strap. :(

Wait, what does "redial" mean? Does it mean dials were repainted or retouched?

Yes - repainted. That's not good to a collector.
