    This is my first buy.
Did not know of black dials and/or rose gold being pretty rare.
I like it and will keep it anyway.
But to my grandson I want to tell the truth when passing on in a few years.
    So please don't be shy.
    Thx.

Do you have a better image of the dial?

Case is heavily polished and a redial. Crown is totally incorrect.

Rose gold cap is still attractive.

    Movement looks good.

    Hope you didn’t overpay.

I would not call a gold cap a solid gold shell, its thicker than gold plate but still.

Original black dials are rare and with RG furniture even more so, but yours is refinished so it being black doesn't add anything at this point, it probably was off-white originally. If you find a pink gold 4 leaf crown it would be a nice starter watch.

Here is what my mobile does with the dial. The print appears close to rose colour of Omega logo above. In photo it is a bit more yellowish.

    What is overpaid here?
Got it from UK at 750£.
Think this is still ok for something nice like This.
And it is emotionally as 1952 is my birth year too.
Also my powerplant is still working fine, surroundings show some wear. Can't complain.

    This is overpaid:

WAY too much for a poorly redialed early 50's watch in that condition.

Don't like your answer, but accept it.
Seller was jackanpet in the bay.
Maybe he is known for the not so good deals already?

Okay, fair enough. Next time ask before you buy so you don't get hosed. We'll help you find an original that's a keeper.

For the buying process and explanations, tbese were fair deals.
I also got a LeCoultre from him, a Bit higher priced.
Anyone interested to look at and comment?

The LeCoultre looks nice and correct.

The model name is “Patton”, after the General.

I know this because I have one just like it.

Thanks for your openness. Appreciate it.
What would be correct crown measures? Perhaps I can lower the visual fake effect somewhat.
I so like the black dial and even more the certified chronometre and the associated movement is special to me. So I want to keep it. Also 52 is my birth year.
    Thanks again.

The Patton was made from 1951-53, so that could be a 1952 model also.

Here are your pink gold crowns:

    You want 8100/1016P.
