Hi!

I've been observing this forum as I have been contemplating getting back into wearing a watch for the past year... and with a recent career milestone it was time to reward myself with my first "luxury watch." Previously, I wore a Seiko Sports 100 Chronograph for 12+ years and it served me very well, but then I started carrying around an iPhone.....

Thanks to the advice of Bushido, Roach7, Karalhoin, OmegaCard and a few others, I finally bought my first new watch in this millennium . Looking forward to learning from all of you... and hopefully not becoming my next obsession...

Yup. It's pretty darn low-tech but surprisingly still works when AT&T can't reach my cell phone. Pager is like my other spouse...

 

Heh. I'm glad we ditched pagers about 7 years ago and switched to mobile phones. SMS and Whatsapp have totally changed the way we practice.

Welcome...I'm new to the board myself. I'll second @Foo2rama. I've been on here not even a full month and I've already made my first purchase via a seller on the forum and if I can convince the wife there may be a second one soon! Seems I've been bitten by the bug...just as long as I don't start watching eBay listing for vintage watches I'll be o...look a constellation!
