    Hi OF people,
I'm based in Melbourne Aust, and am embarking on my first ever purchase of an Omega watch. More specifically the Omega Speedmaster either the FOIS or the Professional Speedmaster 2018 version.

Its all news to me, so reading lots and watching lots of youtube videos atm.

    Thanks !

    Hi Mate!

Welcome to the forum. Take your time and if possible try on the watches you are considering.

    Thank you to you all.
I'm having fun reading through all the articles and threads. There is so many serial numbers and differences. I think i need the moonwatch book to read as well.

    Welcome to ΩF.
Make sure you try each watch on the wrist before you jump in.
The standard Speedie is a classic but take your time deciding.
Check out the OB in Collins St.

Thanks I might head to Chadstone and check the store there. Rather than just buying online.

Welcome to OF! As @JimInOz mentioned, if you are in the city it is worth a visit to the Omega boutique. I've also had really good experiences dealing with Hardy Brothers, who are an Omega authorised dealer. Both in Collins Street. Happy hunting

    Wonderful info.
Can anyone confirm whether Chadstone shopping center in Melbourne has a dedicated Omega store or is it just a AD that stocks all else and Omega?

There are a couple of road side shops in Bali which sell Omegas. They are close to you... :)

OB at Crown Casino is good too. Your best deal would probably be Monard's on Collins St. An AD who talk price, and they have good selection

I’m going to my local AD at Chadstone today, if I get the chance I’ll head into Collins st in the city. I’m all honesty I’ll probably buy online through one of the confirmed sellers on OF. I’m price sensitive so I doubt the local Australian AD could match an OF seller.

Hi and welcome from Sydney, great to have another aussie on board!
I agree you have to try the watches on.
I believe that there is also an AD in Crown as was stated above, might just be worth a try as sometimes different AD's may have different stock.
Make sure you keep us posted about your progress.
