Ok so ran across these two today and picked them up. The seamaster cosmic has the quickset date change which kind of surprised me. The constellation I need to roll between 10 and 3 or whatever it is to change the date. I think the cosmic is around 1968 but that is a guess. The constellation I honestly have no clue what year it is. I don’t have the proper tool to open the case and my buddies shop is closed so I will post pics of both of them and ask for your info. You guys are great at picking out these things by eye. I suppose I could learn it myself but I tend to focus on greater things like how to save the world and stuff so on occasion and I need help from nerdy watch people. Anyway please call out any defects and be not afraid of calling a watch “shit”’if that’s what it is. I am pretty sure these aren’t but you won’t hurt my feelings, I am asking for assistance and will appreciate any and all input.

Might I add this is a very comfortable strap on the cosmic I’m going to look up the brand

Both nice, I particularly love the Connie on the BOR (it is mid to late 60s). Geckota is a UK company. They make nice NATOs.

That's ok, saving the world is important too. 😉
I find it’s always helpful to come across as arrogant when asking for help, let’s people know where you stand. Makes them really want to help

Elon, don’t be modest.
I have no clue how to open ‘em, but that cosmic is a beauty.

Edit:
wait wait. I figured it out. You need tool 107.

Ha ha. Ya tbh I actually appreciate the cosmic a little more. It’s just so pristine. I know cosmics are on the lower end but it’s really about what you like. I don’t think I keep both as I’m still on the hunt for a seamaster but I can at least enjoy them for a while

don’t have the proper tool
I was going to send an improper tool maybe a 105 or 106 to muck things up a bit!
Tool 105:

tool 106:

I took it quite lighthearted, hope you did too! Kookookachoo!.

Indeed ... hence my inclusion of the winking-smiley emoji. 📖

Both terrific watches! I think the constellation is a dome dial 14902 since the dial does not have "officially certified," otherwise it's a 168.005 that has that (doubt it). I have one too but a pie pan dial. I like the seamaster cosmic more 😁. Congrats

14902 dome dial. It’s interesting the way the crystal sits on the the watch. Apparently it’s the original crystal and it appears to be in good shape. Thanks I will use your # to look it up.

Go Walrus!!! You scored today buddy!
Just doing my job ma’am. Really the comfort of the strap got me a little. I would definitely pick one up for one of the many I’m scratching my head trying to pick something out for. But yes it was a good day. My new compadre was wearing the 50 fathoms he “picked up last week” which is such a nice looking watch it made me laugh. He just has crazy stuff I won’t bother going into. Cool guy though obviously lives in a different sphere of the universe than I but I certainly don’t find him to snob like or whatever. Damn that travel case he had has so many nice things in it. Oh well I’m pleased with what I have, really just looking for one more thing then I can start collecting hot wheels cars or something different I’m getting bored with watches.

Ya Dan I knew you got it off the rip. Sometimes during the week things get sadly serious, like it does for many here, so I often blow of steam with stupid comments like that here.

I know... And I knew you knew that I knew. 😕

It's always good to pick up nice watches like those if you have the chance. Keep, sell, trade ... whatever you prefer. 👍

Nice pickups. Cosmics are fun: good size, interesting case design, good movements and lots of dial variants. It would be cool if someone posted a picture of Tool 107.

Goodish Constellation and looks like a nice bracelet.

Ah “goodish?” What makes you say that, it’s cool just wondering why you choose that assessment
