Good morning all omega fans. I have recently been passed on my grandpas what I think to be 1960’s possibly Seamaster Deville.
What I am in search of is a new strap. Currently fitted with a gold bracelet strap which is being melted into a ring for my dad.
Can anyone recommend any websites for straps either original ones or aftermarket alternate brands. Brown and gold are what I am after, deployment also.
See some photos of the watch

also any ideas of what size strap this would take?

It will take an 18mm strap.

Recommended websites will depend what country you’re in. In the UK I tend to use WatchGecko and sometimes Watch Obsession. Cousins UK also sell a decent range of straps including quality ones that can be used with an Omega deployant clasp. I’ve had an alligator one for a few years and they look great and hold up well.

Incidentally, burgundy would also look great on that watch.

I’m Uk based are they reliable with the sizes? I’ve heard a few stories of things saying they are 18mm but not really coming up true to size

Can’t say I’ve ever had an issue with sizing from these places and I’ve probably bought close to a hundred straps over the last ten years.

Perhaps some are slightly too wide but that’s as likely to be due to the actual lug width possibly being more like 17.7mm rather than 18mm in some cases (complete guess).
