    Good evening Omega community,

First post so be gentle ;)

Wanted to know if I could pick your brain with this one, it's a family heirloom.

Opened it and clearly a cal.267 so circa 1957. Have found some examples that look like it but none with that very striking star under the banner.

Here are some photos, looking for general info on case material etc. and maybe even a ballpark valuation.

    Thanks in advance!

The Red Star or Teddington models were made specifically for export to Brazil:

It was my understanding that these dated from the early to mid-1940’s.

The dial on yours looks correct based on other ones that I’ve seen. However, the serial number on the movement puts it at about the mid-1950’s

Would it be possible to show a picture of the inside of the caseback? We might be able to give you more information.

    Hope this helps,

But Teddingtons were equipped with 30T2, weren't they? OP's is a 267. Might be the light but it seems a strange mix of pink and yellow gold is there.

The dial looks totally original to me.

The red star was used on several references not just those advertised in Brazil

The case looks like a locally made South American case - just an assumption going by the style.

A clear photo of the inner case back will unveil the truth...

Sorry for the delay, I only managed to have it opened today!

Case only says 18K and doesn't have the typical Omega triangle...

I'm guessing this makes it a locally made south American case after all! Would this negatively affect authenticity/value?

It coming from Brazil makes some sense since I live in Portugal, with the huge Brazilian community here and obvious colonial ties.

    Yes.

To me, value is gold melt if case, plus $100 or so for working movement. If the dial is proven to be authentic, it might be worth something also.
