Any forum SC natives that recommend stops, places to eat? I’m a foodie and a history type of guy. Cheers- Steve
I visited Charleston and Savannah in March. Husk is amazing but it's booked forever. If you can make it, there's also a Husk in Savannah that's less busy but also awesome. Savannah is worth going to for a day or two anyway if you can make it (bonus points if you watch/read "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" since it's set there before you go). There's a lot of fun historical tours around Charleston that are worth going to But definitely go to Hominy Grill and Husk for food. Also check out Bar Normandy, FIG, Darling Oyster Bar, and Little Jack's Tavern (great burgers). There's Hannibal's kitchen for gullah cuisine Look into plantation tours and ghost tours HMm, I'll see if I can think of anything else. LMK if any specific questions
+1 for Husk and Darling Oyster Bar. If you cant get in to Husk, check out the bar, Its literally on the same property and has a limited menu. Lewis Barbecue is awesome as well.
To all that responded- Thank you for your replies. The trip was fantastic and the recommendations were spot on. Ghost tour, carriage ride and Lewis BBQ were hits. Thank you!
