I debated this morning on pulling the trigger on this I believe all correct and very good condition straight writing caseback. http://www.luxuwrist.com/store/p162...Writing_"Apollo_XI_1969"_Caseback_-_SOLD.html I've been bummed all day, once I seen it was sold.
I felt bummed after not bidding a penny for a set of omega branded screwdrivers. It was only a penny and all I had to do was submit a bid. All I thought about that day. I totally forgot about it until I read this post and now it feels silly to think about what could have been, and I know I have one penny in my pocket for the next thing that catches my eye. Best of luck in finding that next special piece but don't worry about the things that got away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Weren't those going for almost 7k just a few months ago? I know earlier -69s w/DON have strengthened a ton since then, but have straight-writings actually weakened?
$6900 in December - https://omegaforums.net/threads/ome...straight-line-case-back-apollo-xi-1969.32684/ $6700 in April - https://omegaforums.net/threads/ome...straight-line-case-back-apollo-xi-1969.38189/ Yes, they were sold by Kringkily, but Luxuwrist is a pretty well-known dealer too, no?
Ugh, I know this feeling all too well, many times over. Have a cold beer (or 3) today to drown your sorrows, and then start to cheer up knowing that this won't be the last opportunity, and that another one will present itself down the road. Personally, I still think we're due for a correction in pricing for certain Speedy models. As the global economy continues to sputter and choke, it should have the inevitable result of depressing demand for luxury items, and with a lower demand, come lower prices (usually). Let's all hope at least. I like you would love to have a straight writing in my box.
