Should I buy It? Need an advice. I figured the hands arent the original. Dial is missing a lil bit of painting as you can see. And I think i would really like to refinish the dial and exchange the hands to genuine ones, all of this on a very famous specialist in vintage watches here in Brazil. Just for wearing purpose since I'm not a collector, neither intend to be.

Hallmarks on the lugs indicate solid gold, do you have a photo of the inside of the case back?

Might look pretty sharp with a sympathetic dial cleaning, correct hands, and a new crystal.

Not a bad price for a solid gold watch, however you may spend a considerable amount of time and money trying to making it "better".

Be aware that this is a project - it's not a watch that's "ready to go". $400 is a very fair price for what it is. I would expect that it's barely the scrap value. You need to be ready to sink a few hundreds into the movement along with a long hunt for the correct handset. Also, ask for images of the dial at an angle - is that bruise on the glass or the dial? If the mark is on the dial, say thanks but no thanks.

Buy it get a longer second hand put on it during a service and a clean.

Bingo $700 all in you have a great gold watch to wear.:thumbsup:

If your going the restore angle. This is not the watch or the model you want to be doing it too.

I agree. Plus I'm sure a service is way cheaper at OP's location. A nice solid gold Omega to wear for less than 600$. Good deal.
