    My gut says yes. Thick puffy lume is not really a hallmark of the time period. But there is a different issue.

    That’s also not the dial that it left the factory with. It kinda looks like a 74-76 dial... but I think it’s a redial.

    Agree with @Foo2rama on the puffy lume but I think the rest is ok. Long S, short Q and 7 with serif all sum up to 80's speedy.

    Look at the dial. Drop R? 44m Serial I believe.

    That’s not correct for a 44m serial number @82? Plus look how far the R drops...

    I don't know how to distinguish the R's, as that lesson I have not learnt yet :D
    Only playbook I have to go by is the MWO and does not mention anything about that.
    I have seen many 80's speedys with the same drop R but I am sure you know stuff I don't :D

    IMHO that dial is original and coherent to 46MLN serial number!
    That 'Puffy' lume could be a characteristic of some dials of the second half of 80s and I really believe the watch is totally correct a part from the bracelet that could be an older 1171..

    Looked it up it’s correct. I thought that dial was later :( doh this is why I stay away from non dash 145.022’s.
