Evening everyone, I'm curious to know what calibers would be present in a 1967 chronograph. A friend told me he thought it was a 651 in his watch, could that be correct? Apologies, I don't have a photo of the watch in question but as a starting point has there ever been a cal 651 or would it have been a 321 or 861? Your help is most appreciated, thanks very much.

Also, concerning Omega military watches, does anyone know of a piece with a 30mm movement? Again, your thoughts are appreciated. Looking forward to hearing from some folks. Have a terrific night.

The 651 is a manual wind movement and no chronograph functions.

There are a number of military watches with a 30mm based movement. The CK2444 would have a 30T2 movement. The 2777 from 1953 would have a cal 283, based on the 30mm movement.

    Jim and Joe,

Thanks very much for the information. My friend's piece is a chronograph from 1967 so it clearly isn't a 651...perhaps it's a 321 or 861.

As for the military piece I know that it has a center seconds if that helps identify the movement. Does the '30' in '30T2' mean the movement is 30mm? Thank you very much again, I appreciate it.

    Have a terrific evening.

Yes, the 30 stands for 30mm. If it has a center seconds then it might be a 30T2SC. The 2179, some of which we issued to the US Army, have such a movement.
