looking at buying this vintage 2451-6 but the furniture looks like it may have been removed/refinished? is that particularly bad? also the case back engraving style seems to be quite a bit different than other examples I have seen. the marker at 2 and 5 both seem to overlapping the sub-dial. yet, the 7 and 10 are not. also some minor spacing/symmetry issues. thoughts?
Hi there, Interesting points being made, as far as I am aware these are all traits of a 2451 dial but it's pretty difficult to find nice ones for comparison, here are a couple, and a 2907 that has the same marker traits with an overlap. Not much to add about the case back, conforms with other examples I have seen. I will leave it at that and withdraw the watch tomorrow if anyone thinks this is a genuine problem. Cheers. @Sharp That's good research. All of those dials look pretty sloppy, but at least it seems unlikely that they were all re-dialed the same way.
