I'm trying to send him some money for a watch but he gave me a western union account. That automatically rings alarm bells for me. Next he tells me his small bank doesn't accept international transfers. I work in foreign exchange and that isn't my understand of how the process works. The service I was has a clearing bank in the country normally so isn't an international transfer. I bought lots of item in different currencies and never had this problem before. The last person that I dealt with on here had the EURs in their account in 4 hours. Now if people have dealt with CajunTiger before then I will try to find a way but at the moment I'm concerned.

Yes I have searched for this name and could find lots of comments but no transactions. This is a serious enquiry.

Pretty sure you are safe...I am glad I saved my sarcastic April Fool's Day response.

I have bought anything from him, but seeing that he is a very well respected member of the Forum, you are 100% good to go. Just don't mention Les Miles or your price may go up.

    Ok thank you.

I was correct in that the service I normally use does use a domestic US bank to make the payment so no international payment. I'm just trying to work out the best way with CajunTiger.

I purchased Loupe01 set from from him last year and he was super friendly, responsive and an all around pleasure to deal with. I used paypal in that case but would have absolutely no reservations in dealing with him. Great guy and an example of what makes this forum a fun place to hang out. I agree with the above comment you should make sure you're dealing with the real CajunTiger.

As people have said, CajunTiger is an established member. But if you are at all uncomfortable, then do make sure it is him you are dealing with & not an impersonator.

Whatever we say about a member, the responsibility for the due diligence and the transaction is with you. All we can say with absolute certainty is we know he's an established and sensible member. As you are probably aware, that isn't the same as vouching for a person in a transaction.

    Good luck.

Thanks @SpikiSpikester , your advice on this forum and privately has been invaluable to me. I still have the bracelet I bought several years ago for my Soccer Timer.

And @RawArcher I am wearing your your Camaro today...you are all great assets to this community.

BTW_ I completely understand the OP's concerns...the level of fraud has escalated 1000% in the last year and its harder and harder to trust people today. @neilbardsley you should have plenty of info to verify I am who I say..if you are on Linkedin use the info I sent, I find it an excellent way to verify identity. Although the scammers are getting smarter everyday so its always best to verify thru several means.

    Thanks again all!

Y'all jest, but these are real, shot in my studio. Cropped to protect the innocent :)

Now does "CajunTiger" start to make sense :)
