Hello, Standy, glad to do that. My first automats are JUNGHANS MEISTER CLASSIC. I bought it 3 years ago. I was always into watch. I just left my fathers vintage manual 1970 PRIMs to restore and give it to him to his birthday. (Prim is local brand.) I read plenty of posts how somebody got his first omega or rolex from his grandpa. Well, nobody ever invested into watch. But I always dreamt about watch. I started to read magazine such as hodinkee, subscribed for QP and some local watch magazines. So I am trying to learn as much as possible, bought few books too. I am fan of vintage watches, dream to have Vulcain Cricket. Lets say my business gets better and I am ready to buy real quality watch. I was never struck by omegas or rolex, but once I started to read about it, I just got in. And I saw 60th LE and I just love it. And I have really small wrist, and I am afraid how 41s or 42s will look like, so I was pleased with 38.6mm on 60th. I dont want to sound funny, I dream about creating my own little collection of watches. But not to hide it somewhere in safe, I want to wear it and at some point, to give it to my kids.
Why is that? Btw, I contacted few boutiques, tried to order one today. Vienna boutique is already sold out, I tried few others, waiting for confirmation of availability.
Like Speedy Tuesday which looks exactly like a Newman Daytona? I'll take the 60th which is an homage of an Omega, not a Rolex.
well, easy to explain. Popular boutiques have good relations with some loyal customers. So the directors of 2 boutiques said that they cannot book for me as the watches are already reserved for others. Simples. So I tried luck with other boutiques.
But the boutiques do not have an allocation yet... no one has an allocation yet... at this stage it's all smoke and mirrors. So they're refusing to reserve something for you, because they have reserved it for someone else, even though they don't yet have it to reserve. Right.
I would pretend that each is half a watch and only together can they be as one. if i couldnt do that, I would start selling body-parts...
Do you have a pre-order for the ST already? If not then the decision just got made considerably easier
They were all allocated within hours! I'm told that the waiting list was also filled within the same day
