I just threw a party for my clinic staff last weekend. Technically, I had to call it "The Annual End of the Year Professional Gathering" according to my attorneys. Once everyone had arrived, it was "Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year" with lots of festivities. Fully stocked bar and catered BBQ for all. I even put on a karaoke competition and gave away x-mas prizes/gifts to everyone.

But legally, it was "The AEYPG" party so as not to get sued by anyone whom felt I was religiously discriminating. Hell, I'm atheist and don't give a shit. However, such is the world we live in...

It was always "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" for me growing up...but people sue for everything/anything these days. The days of a lot of people simply wanting to make a quick buck.

Same here @Bushido . I became an apoplectic atheist after my late beloved mother passed away 3 yrs ago. I vowed never again to celebrate my birthdays or any joyous festive seasons. I just wish people well. That's all. Did you know what happen to the last person who feverishly tried to convert me to her religion ?
I slapped her square across the face !

 

If I'm an atheist whom doesn't give a shit vs your "Apathist", philosophically, which of us is nearer to enlightenment? Personally, I vote for myself as I have embraced the miracle of the most hallowed and sacred of all Omegas:

 

Thus, making the apropos statement "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" both ironic and accurate. Love it!

Raised Catholic, now I'm agnostic and subscribe to Maslow and Mill, still say 'Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.' Good luck getting me to care if I offend anyone with that.

 

I have yet to find a "trusted" lawyer...and still looking for a "trusted" dentist too.
