For those of us in Louisiana (and Brazil) the next four days is the sprint to Fat Tuesday AKA Mardi Gras day. We started with a "parade" at my kids preschool. A few pics of the event: That's the "float" I made them and my 3 boys are in the third picture. It was so much fun and the weather was beautiful. Mardi Gras used to be about the 3 B's (boobs, beads and beer!) but now it's all about family and I wouldn't have it any other way. Finally I'll leave you with a taste of Mardi Gras via what New Orleans is known for (other than food!) and that's music! Hope you have a happy Mardi Gras wherever you are!!
When I saw the paczki at the supermarket today it jogged my memory of Fat Tuesday. I'm all for holiday-like days involving donuts.
