every year we beat the Americans to the national celebration beer keg by a few days... its our reward for burning their capitol building in 1812.
From all the Canadian folks I know, that would be exactly par for the course! They are all hockey buddies and very fluent in the use of “eff” as they are in “sorry” .
We call those days “winter”, there is actually only 362 of those. The last two days are July 2, which is national hangover day, and October 2, which is national impolite day, when nobody apologizes for anything and we all feel like we’ve gotten away with something as a result. It’s really quite exciting.
Don’t tell Trump, he’ll want the damn thing back. He’s not noticed us up here yet, so there’s still been no mention of a wall. Now if we can keep Justin from pissing him off we might be able to ride this out till they get someone else into office.
Very true. And I don't think I've ever heard the polite version "eff" in actual conversation. Just wanted to keep it respectful, being it a Canada Day thread and all!
Happy Canada fellow Canadians! Also my wedding anniversary (30th this year!) and we had a great day playing in a tennis tournament, and now relaxing with a Guinness. Hope you all had a good one! Cheers, Al
Fritz, Haven’t you learned not to provoke a verbal battle with those from south of the 49th! You’ll never get the better of them. There’s too many of them! To our neighbours to the south. We hope you have a happy fourth, so don’t have a fifth on the third,
Congrats on the 30th! I would ask who won the tournament, but tournaments in Canada everyone wins right?
Happy Canada day to all Canadiens, Bonne fête du Canada à tous les Canadiens and Happy anniversary to you, Archer. My parents are also celebrating their anniversary today, 37 years. I got married on July 4th and will be celebrating my 2nd anniversary.
Happy Canada Day belatedly! When you see the differences between Canada and the current version of America...You Appreciate it More. In America, this July 4 th...I am sorely tempted to fly my Stars and Stripes Upside Down! Truly This dictators parade will reflect the trouble We are Truly In.
News report. Rumour has it that Canadians were much happier on Canada Day, 2019, than they have been on any previous Canada Day since the founding of the nation 152 years ago. Go Canada, eh! Oh Cannabis, our home and native land!
