Congrats, belatedly on the birthday and on the watch. It’s beautiful.
I’m seriously thinking of pulling the trigger on the automatic (non-flyback) version. I tried one on yesterday and was smitten.
Anyone have any advice they can offer - other than do it?
We didn’t get as far as discussing possible discounts, do people think that would be a possibility given it’s a 1000 pieces?

Thank you very much to every one!!!

It´s a very nice piece indeed. I decided to buy this one because I really wanted a bronze piece and also because I got a really nice discount at my AD. I'm tempted to get that one too, but have some other pieces first in line.

You should certainly be looking for a discount of at least 20% on this piece.

There are plenty around and it appeals more to WIS than general buyers who see rather plain styling and an Alu bezel at a significant price point whereas the enthusiast knows it's military styling is an accurate tribute to the A.Cairelli watches supplied to the Italian Air Force in the 60's and runs the classic El Primero Chronograph movement.

Zenith servicing prices for this movement start at £500 so factor this in as well

Changed the strap and I think it really goes perfect with the watch. I was a little afraid I´ll ruin the original. It´s been a really hot summer here reaching 38C-40C (100F-104F) every day. I really like how the color and the stitching play with the watch.

Thanks for the steer, much appreciated, The original A. Cairelli are well above my budget at current prices but I love the simplicity and legibility. I’m pretty sure I can live with the decent tribute act.
