I was actually traveling overseas on the day (Jan 9th) so this post is a little belated and not as dramatic but I wanted to wish my Speedy a happy 50th birthday.

May we both look as good and run as well in the next 50 years (I am sure one of us will at least, haha).

Yes, indeed. There was a thread "Transition to the Transitional" where we were looking at serial numbers and it seems that this was one of the earlier examples of the 145.022 with a number of 145.012's coming afterwards.
