Anyone know when the hanger S was discontinued?

This example from 1968, never seen a hanger later than 1962 before, of course this could be a redial but just curious ?

I've got a 1960 Seamaster with the coat hanger 'S' and I'm sure I read somewhere that they changed from around that time onwards.

Wait for someone a lot more knowledgeable than me though!

It might be a UK made watch - they seemed to be a few years behind on font updates. It also might be a franken. It's EASY to make tons of different combinations because so many parts interchanged. The most interesting that I remember was a caliber 47x automatic that had a dial from a manual wind Genève - both the center pinion and sub seconds holes were apparently equal distances apart.

    To answer the original question......
    ..... 1962 was about right.

Agree with Dennis, hanger S discontinued in the early 60s. Never saw an original hanger s Seamaster in a mid-size or C case...I would believe the OP is a franken/re-dial. Hard to be sure due to the quality of the pic, but the "Seamaster" font doesn't look quite right, either.
